Dear community,

It’s been a month since our last Development update. The big milestone we are all waiting for is approching and we definitely are ready to release an amazing product.

Marketing

We are proud to announce that already more than 5 projects have been selected and will be listed on 30th, August. This also include a few projects that will pay in VLK to get their public dashboard.

If you are a project founder and you want to get listed, feel free to contact us at contact@vulkania.io

Starting in August, our Twitter presence will increase to prepare for the arrival of our release, this includes:

  • Announcements of partnerships / listings with projects that will be present in the Alpha version
  • Marketing campaigns with our Twitter account and influencers.

New features!

For several weeks we have been developing a brand new module, which is very important and will be the landing page of Vulkania.

Ranking module

We are pleased to present the Vulkania dashboard ranking system.

As Vulkania is positioned as a direct competitor of existing platforms such as CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko, we have developed a simple way for our future users to compare the dashboards listed on our application.

Our ranking is based on a ratio between the number of holders and the number of visitors of the dashboards, this will incite our users to regularly consult the dashboards, to increase the number of unique visitors.

We also worked on small graphic aspects to spotlight the VLK token, on various pages.

Mock-up of the ranking page. The displayed data might not reflect reality.

Search system

On each page of the application, a search module will facilitate navigation between the dashboards.

The objective of this feature is simple: to make users stay on our tool and allow them to see other dashboards in a blink of an eye.

Listing process

In order to make a dashboard public, the creators of projects or fans will be able to fill a form. They will be contacted and the Vulkania team will give them access to create a private dashboard. It is at this time that a payment in VLK will be made (listing fees).

The user will then be able to set up his dashboard. When it’s ready, we decide on a public listing date.

The system we have designed will allow us to list dozens of projects per week on our platform.

APIs

A few words about the data providers we use to build our dashboards:

We had to make some changes in the use of these providers. It turns out that Covalent was causing problems for data retrieval for tokens that had many holders and transactions. We decided to choose another API, bscscan, which will answer this problem and allow a more flexible treatment.

Also we thought about how to handle the update of data on all dashboards, without exceeding the costs related to APIs. All this is now ready and will be done without any inconvenience for the user.

Here is the final list of data sources we use:

  • BSCScan
  • ETHPlorer
  • Etherscan
  • BitQuery
  • CoinMarketCap
